I am Canadian, why the British and American people hate us?

I'm British and I don't hate Canadians. However, I'm aware that there seems to be some animosity between Canadians And Americans e.g. Some Americans think Canadians are stupid. Maybe this arises because many people, including me, know so little about Canada. It seems a remote Country to the north of America, lacks identity and purpose and a bit..........boring! So, I will now await other answers that tell me just how wrong that view is - keen to learn.

I have a thing for some scottish accents, but over all I'm not anymore attracted to most British accents than I am American ones. It's actually German and Spanish accents that I love. Also, I have nothing against the british. I've run into a few online that have been jerk to me because I'm American, but over all my experience with people from UK has been very positive.

Funny you sould say that but i am british and myself and most people i know have great respect and like the canadians, most of us think of you as cousins. If i wasnt british i would have no qualms about being canadian.

I`m a Canadian and I wasn`t aware the Americans and British hated us .................... and I don`t hate them either ! You obviously know something the rest of the world doesn`t .

I don`t hate Canadians. I`ve been to Canada and found it and the people very nice (but I still love England).

We may pick on you like you have American and British jokes. Last time I checked there wasnt a large army from either side stationed along the borders since the early 1800s

well I'm British and i don't hate Canadians, my brother lives in Canada and his wife is Canadian, i hear there are alot of Brits over there to, i can't imagine why you think that?

i have no idea why you think that. i have travelled far and wide and canadians are generally like everywhere, much more than americans. americans no doubt give you a hard time but canadians are considered the salt of the earth everywhere else.
plus you have excellent music groups and great comedians!

I think it's because we're considered the USA's little brother and doesn't everybody hate their little brother? As for the British people we did walk out of their country to start our own right? I think they'd be a little resentful of that, wouldn't you?
