If you like the question, you give it a star. It lets other people know it's a good question. Also, at a certain level on answers, by getting so many, it can help someone get to the NEXT level... I think...

So you can add the question to your starred questions list on your profile if you want to keep the details of the question and answers to look at another time. I have kept loads which have info I need.

If it's an interesting or good question (in your opinion) then maybe it deserves one. It let's the person feel good about their question and it's opt to get more answers.

When someone stars the question it is shown to all their contacts and fans as well.

I do it so my fans can see what good questions I've been reading and answering...maybe they will like the question too.
