World famous adventurer and billionaire. With all our modern day technology they can't find him? We can "see" several feet beneath the earth, we can use satellites to surveil any individual on the planet, we have GPS technology yet they can't find a guy who left in a small aircraft with a limited range?

Maybe he didn't crash, just flew under radar, and made himself disappear. I'm sure his stocks are going through the roof.

He didn't file a flight plan. He flew over a remote area of Nevada, supposedly. If he didn't have his GPS activated, or it was damaged in a crash, that would make it harder to find him.
