I wrote an article on what money cannot buy. Money seems to buy us happiness, but whats amazing about happiness is that each time we purchase happiness (i.e. a new car), the line then is moved to another point, and then its just keeps being beyond our reach again, and again with each purchase.
Happiness is a state of mind. It has no power to purchase anything, but because we are happy we manage to deal with life in such a way that we can actually create a means in which our happiness brings money into our lives. I.E. I write a book and sell it. Then I can purchase that which my happiness enabled me to bring about into my life.

Happiness does not require a lot of money. It still needs money though. If you have ever been poor, then you know that life can be miserable without money (especially if you can only steal from some place to put some food in your mouth).
I would guess in a few very remote places money is not required for living and they attain happiness. They pay for their happiness by the sweat of their brow though. The world revolves around work and lots of people are happy doing their work. Most of us just get payed in $ for our work, which is a nice reward and can bring a smile to almost anyone's face.

Hello,
(ANS) Happiness is a condition that arises as a consequence of your life circumstances, & the kind of personality you have. But it has nothing very much too do with money at all. You may or may not earn more money indirectly because you are happy, but being happy you wouldn't really mind how much you were earning or not.
Happy people don't worry about money, happy people are NOT obsessed by money by nature (by the nature of happiness).
We live in a money obsessed society, i.e. a capitalistic culture.

Why would happiness need money? Happiness that is grounded in good will, has no purpose for money.

Most people who are happy have transcended the need for personal wealth. Only in the land of make believe is happiness a currency.

Get rich quick schemes in the capitalist business world, (buyouts, IPOs, conglomerates, acquisitions, mergers, and the stock market), do not actually work. Remaining solvent does not actually exist within false economics capitalism.
Profit existing in the capitalist business world, or millionaires existing within capitalism, is pathological deception committed by the 21 organizations spying on the population with plain clothes agents, (with covert fake names and fake backgrounds).
Actual economics is the persons paying the monthly business loan payments of companies voting at work in order to control the property they are paying for.
Capitalism is the psychology of imaginary parents, false economics, and the criminal deception of employees that are paying the bills (including the stocks and bonds, or shares) of companies.
Anti-democracy republicanism is the psychology of imaginary parents and false government.

Of course happiness cannot buy money.
No more then money can buy happiness.
But its preferable to be miserable and rich
then miserable and poor.
At least you can be unhappy in comfort.
