Equal friendship is usually when both friends look after the other. They help when needed, give advice, and expect the same and receive it. That's what it is to me, anyway.

Equal friendship , to me, is friends who feel like they are on a level playing field with the friend, that is being there for each other, and being true and never reveal things about each other. This can involve more than 2 people as well. In a 3 person friendship, two of them should not feel superior to the third, or exclude the third one. This is difficult though.
