Point Defiance Park is great! You can walk on lots and lots of trails, go along the beach, it's beautful. Also, you can go on every third thursday to the museums for free.

Tour the Olympia Brewery in Tumwater - free beer at the end of the tour. Drive up into the Olympic Peninsula. You will see many mountains which resemble the Alps of Europe: beautiful glaciers and rainforest abound. The state capitol building has some of the most beautiful gardens and fountains in the country. Puget sound is magnificent and Seattle is a short drive away. Ride the ferry to some of the islands and visit Port Townsend - a beautiful old Victorian city which is the art center of the Olympic area.

Just a cost saving suggestion; Pierce Transit has a great weekend fare program where you can pay one low price and receive an all day transit pass! Just $3.00 for an adult and $1.50 for youth. The transit system serves all major destinations, malls, point defiance park, the museum of glass etc. Good Luck!
