The Sun. Either directly or indirectly, just about every sort of energy you use was at one point sunlight:
Coal and oil come from once-living plants and animals. The animals ate the plants, which got their energy from sunlight.
Hydroelectric power comes from water rushing downhill. How did the water get uphill? It was deposited there by snow or rainfall, which can only happen when there's moisture in the air. Moisture gets in the air when it's evaporated from the oceans by heat delivered to Earth by sunlight.
Wind power comes from wind turning big turbines. Wind is a result of uneven heating of the Earth's surface. Again, you won't have much heat without sunlight.
Solar power...that one should be obvious, right?
Another energy supply for some organisms is geothermal energy. Near deep sea vents, many bizarre creatures thrive in the heat being poured from the Earth's interior. They also live with a total lack of sunlight. This existence is tenuous, though; if a vent suddenly becomes inactive, a whole colony of organisms is doomed to extinction.
