On the one hand, it's a great joke to pull on somebody. Obviously, these people were totally oblivious to the fact that someone (a prankster, no doubt) put the bumper sticker on their car. But on the other hand, how embarrassing! I'm torn on this one. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

A prankster, huh? That's a really, really good one!!!

I see these bumper stickers occasionally and I can tell that the Birkenstock-wearing, Volvo-driving Earth Mothers parading those stickers about are making a "political statement".

Well, they're making a political statement, all right - that they're morons living in the past who instead think that they're making some sort of moral statement. It's all a bit sad and pathetic, I think.

How dumpy were the cars. I'm not kidding, I have never seen a car with a Kerry/Edwards bumper sticker being anything but a piece of junk, with garbage strewn about inside (if I see it in a parking lot). Probably a lot of government employees and other deadbeats demanding more from the government teat. Curiously, I have seen a lot o nice cars with General Secretary Obama bumper stickers. I guess that huckster really can sell.

I guess the part about all this that annoys me (with both the Kerry AND the Bush stickers) is that we're already in another election cycle. I mean, I understand that you want us all to know that you identify with the 2004 election, and you feel strongly about how you voted then. But seriously, are you SO out of touch that you don't realize that we've got another, potentially more important, election coming up? Shouldn't you be thinking about where we go from here?

Whether you like or hate decisions that were made in the past, isn't our more important question now, "Where do we go next?"

I'm about ready to start going up to both groups and yelling at them. I bet they haven't even bothered to watch a single debate or read about a single candidate yet. Sad.

No wonder they get the results they do.

You might want to go tell the 5000 Bush supporters (that exist for every one person with a Kerry/Edwards who still have their bumper stickers on their cars) who are in the same boat. I mean come on, how low does your approval rating have to go before the people who put you in office realize they shouldn't be proud of it.

Keeping old election stickers on your car has become a way of supporting your party, no matter how long ago the election was. Its really stupid, i know, but that explains why the stunning majority of them are Bush stickers. Maybe you should ask those with Bush stickers if they were aware some prankster has placed an ad for an imecile on their car?

Much like my conservative neighbor who went out to his car a couple of months ago in the dead of night to scrape his "W" sticker off his bumper. Except I had insomnia as I often do and was sitting on our deck watching him. When he realized I was there watching him do this he scuttled back into the house. What do you think was up with that lol? Maybe they'll figure out on their own that Kerry didn't win and remove it. My neighbor finally had enough of Dubya and removed his.

i saw someone with w04 bumper sticker on their car. should i have told them? that their candidate would continue to accuse everyone against him of being an unpatriotic coward, when he couldn't finish his military obligation in wartime. isn't that a treasonous offense. any advice would be greatly appreciated.

The "Don't blame me" bumper sticker must have fallen off.

Personally, I don't know why anyone would want that "Look at me!! I'm an @sshole" sticker on their car.

Well, at least it's not a Bush/Cheney sticker. That would be REALLY embarrassing!

What I didn't understand was Gore bumperstickers..... It just made no sense. The man said the car was the enemy and they drove cars with his bumpersticker on them...... It's like wearing a David Duke pin on a yarmulke.
