If I understood your question it was:
5(6+3)x^2 -3(2+6)
------------------------
6

the answer would be:
15x^2
--------
6

I think that's right.

I'm amazed by the number of wrong answers to this... firstly evaluate what is in the brackets, so :-

5(6+3)x2 - 3(2+6) becomes:-

5(9)x2 - 3(8)

now we have :-

90 - 24 = 66

which when divided by 6 gives 11
so the answers 11

To solve this you would first do what is in the parenthesis. so,
I would add (6+3) and add (2+6)
[5(9)x^2 - 3(8)] / 6
then multitply out
[45x^2 - 24] / 6
Divide by 6
7 3/6 x^2 - 4
then reduce down the fraction
7 1/2x^2 - 4

(I am assuming that it is x^2 but if the x is a multiply symbol, it definately changes the answer. Which would be 11, but I think you would know that. If you are supposed to solve for x where it is equal to zero, then the answer would be the square root of .533)

I hope this helps

firstly sort out the brackets

5 x 9 x 2 - 3 x 8 all divided by 6

6( 5 x 3 - 4) all divided by 6

= 15 - 4 = 11

As i understand the question:
(5(6+3)x2-3(2+6))1/6
=(45x2- 24)1/6
=(90-24)1/6
=66/6
=11

5(6+3)x2-3(2+6)divided by 6?
5(6+3) x 2 - 3(2+6) / 6
There is a confusion "divided by 6" or "whole divided by 6"
Anyway let me do it with your "divided by 6"
5(9) x 2 - 3(8) /6
45 x 2 - 24/6
90 - 4
86
====
If it is "whole divided by 6"
{45 x 2 - 24} / 6
{90 - 24} / 6
66 / 6
11
====
I don't know which problem is what you meant.

1. Do () first
6+3 = 9, 2+6 = 8
2. rewirite new problem
5 (9) X 2 - 3(8)/6 =
45X2 - 4 =
90 - 4 = 86

[5(6 + 3)x^2-3(2 + 6)]/6

Resolve parenthetical expressions first

[5(9)x^2 - 3(8)]/6
[45x^2 - 24]/6
[15x^2 - 8]/2 {divide numerator and denominator by 3}

or

(15x^2)/2 - 4

well first you have to do paranthesis so

5(9)x2-3(8)/6

then multiply

45 x 2 - 24 / 6

90 - 4 = 86

2007-09-22 05:57:32 · answer #9 · answered by Anonymous · 0 0

first perform your operations in the right order

5(9)*2 - 3(8) / 6 that was parenthesis

90 - 24 / 6 that was multiplication

15-3 that was the division and lastly

11 that was the subtraction

you have brackets missing i'm sure mate

any way 6+3 is 9
5x9 is 45
45x2 is 90

then 2+6 is 8
3x8 is 24
90-24 is 66
66 /6 is 11

this is based on these brackets in place:
(2(5(6+3)))-(3(2+6))/6
i think
im 33 myself lol
