hi, a few people might remember me, a couble of weeks ago, I posted my storie in here asking for help, my son was brudaly Attacked on the way home from the store and left to die. I got a wonderfull respond from all of you and I wanet to thank you all for that. But today I have to ask one more question, sence the Attack, and my son not having Insurance, the bills are getting bigger and bigger, we are up to 26.000. dollars now. and no one wants to help even though he was a Victem of Crime, does anyone know who can help us pay for some of this bills. I have done wrote to the Red Cross and Salva. Army , Churches and so on. But no one wants to help us, please if you know how we can get some help let me know, and I would thank you alot, by the way my son is slowly on the way to recover but has life time damage in his face. Thank you all a MOTHER in need.

I'm so sorry about your son!
I never even thought about what happens to victims as far as them having to pay hospital bills from an attack.
I don't know what State you're from, but have you gotten in touch with a City or State Representative? They are supposed to work for the people~right? They're all making commercials, begging for your vote...wouldn't this be a perfect time to see which candidate will step up to the plate and help you and your family? They'll do anything for some GOOD publicity!!
In the meantime, don't freak out about the hospital bills piling up. I used to do hospital billing and trust me, there are many people without health insurance and no money to pay the bills....and nobody went to jail over it!

Have you tried your county services and looking into government and state funded insurance coverage for your child? A lot of states have funded, reduced cost health coverage for families that can afford it otherwise? I don't know I wish I could help more. Start looking into this.. I might not help with what is happening now, but you maybe able to help with long term care down the road for your son or any other children you have.
Also have you found out who attacked your son? I am not a sue happy person but maybe looking to go after them for the costs of this, the other parents of the child that attacked yours home owners or other insurance may be able to pay out?

i am so sorry to hear that something like this happened to u and ur son, talk to the people at the hospital, some of them have a social worker that can help, or try your social services in ur area

Most hospitals have charity care. Ask billing, then you have to have all your W2 forms from last year. Check stubs. Proof of salary etc.
If you make to much they might not accept.

I don't know exactly how people do this, but I've seen on the news victims who have a bank account where people can make donations.

dont worry all will be fine medical bills are looked at differently on your credit worst comes to worse file bancruptcy and enjoy your child

Have you thought about indigent in your area? They might be able to assist you in reducing the total cost.
