Can anyone please tell me what the tappet clearances are and which are the correct spark plugs (in UK) and what their gap should be on a 1996 Honda CD250 U Hornet? I know the tappet clearance for earlier models was 0.08mm but suspect it changed on the model I am interested in. Also where you obtained the info? Thanks for any help.

Twisted _ace is right the 250 hornet is a four cylnder bike, It looks almost the same as the 600 hornet but is sold in japan as the Honda Jade. If you go onto http://www.hondahornet.co.uk/club.html you can get all the info you need.

The question is a little confusing.

The Honda CD-250U is a twin cylinder commuter bike, derived from the CD-175 of the 1960's.

The Hornet range of bikes, are high revving four-cylinder retro-styled sports tourers.

I have never heard of a CD-250U Hornet...
