well, i'm not so sure i would say "bisexual". to be bisexual, i believe you have to be willing to have an relationship with the same sex. i think a lot of people would be willing to admit that they have found themselves attracted to the same sex at one time or another. so, i guess that's why people say that we are all bisexual to some degree. i don't know. good question.

My belief is that we're all hetero "by default," meaning that due to the society that we live in, we're taught as children "the proper" thing to do, which is marry, have kids, get a house, become grandparents, die. Then, as we're growing up, hormones and other factors play roles in us deciding what looks attractive to us and not. The problem I find is that many people affiliate themselves with the label "gay" or "straight" before they've even had sex with both sides of the spectrum. They choose those labels because they're seeing what is MOST attractive to them, not necessarily an over-all take. I, myself, went from straight (default)--->gay (teen years, no sex yet)---->gay (had sex)----->bi-curious (tried out sex with gals)---->omnisexual! (just a fancy way of saying bisexual)
From what I've learned, it doesn't matter what you label yourself with; sex is still sex. It's something that's meant to be fun, and if you explore it out a little bit, you'll find that it CAN be "fun," even if you're screwing out-side of your "preference."
The thing that's usually stopping people from exploring into "dangerous waters" however is that our society STILL uses labels like gay, straight, and bi. Things wouldn't be AS bad if it was just having sex, acceptable with a man and a man, a man and a woman, or a woman and a woman.
In closing, really, the saying "Don't knock it 'till you've tried it" rings true here!

As a bisexual woman that has inadvertently hit on straight homophobic women, believe me when I say that not everyone is bisexual...
Some people, believe it or not, actually hate me for my sexual preference... I can't imagine those people are the same as me.

I think women tend to be more bisexual than men. It is more socially accepted for a girl to fool around with another girl. If a man does it he is labeled a homo even if he is attracted to women too. I know a lot of girls who have had lesbian experiences, kisses, etc. But not one man.

I believe it is more common place for men & women alike to admire the female body. Smooth, sensual, erotic...it attracts the imagination and the sensations of the mind. To say all people are Bi to any degree is not corrrect but I would say that a higher percentage of people are attracted to the female gender. If you ask the question privatley to the general population about thier thoughts of being bisexual or bi curious; there are far more female tendancies than there are male.

No, just because a girl says some other girl is pretty doesnt make them a lesbian. Just because a guy says some other guy is good looking they are gay because of american society, which is why guys dont say guys are good looking because they are afraid to be labeled gay this is why some and most american men are wusses :]...Gahh i know i went completely off topic but I think that saying someone of the same sex is pretty or good looking doesn't mean you are homo or bisexual it just means that you think they are well groomed.
I have managed to confuse myself yet again :/

Some people say stuff like that because they think they KNOW what EVERYBODY thinks and feel! Wrong! =P For example: I NEVER EVER imagined myself with a girl, and I'm not going to start now!

No, but I can only speak for myself. I am straight and have no degree of wanting a same sex experience outside of a hi-five or a handshake.

Absolutely not. I am extremely secure with my straight sexuality, I think its part of the reason I dont gay bash, and I dont feel nervous around gays.
