In the article above, Bush says that "Democrats in Congress" have decided to pass a bill they know will be vetoed.
However, the bill has pretty widespread Republian support, too.
But the President knows he can't win a fight based on facts, so he's got to resort to tugging at party strings.
I'm sick of him. Are you?

Yes, I'm tired of it. He's supposed to lead. Sadly, he's no leader, just a bully who would run from a real fight.

Here's an idea for Congress.
Let's sit down and decide what we need to do to write into law, a bill we will all agree with.
Listed under "A" are 76 detailed issues we all agree on.
Under "B" are 7 items we disagree on.
Time to work on the issues we disagree with, without rewriting the constitution.
So, per se, the issues we disagree with keep finding their way into the bill which would defy the constitution.
Why would anyone spend countless upon countless hours of tax payers money attempting to add into the bill, items not acceptable in order to pass this into law?
If those items or issues appear on the bill, I will veto it.

Is there a common scenario in which liberals can't follow directions?

Why waste the TIME and TAX PAYER EXPENSE to pass a Bill you know will get vetoed, makes no sense to me. Guess the Dem's are going to have to raise taxes again, like they normally do. To pay for their wasted funds on win-less fights. The Rep. are just as guilty of wasting money on stupid bills also.
Yes I'm tired of politics as usual which is to be partisan. Our political system is corrupt and unconstitutional. What makes it unconstitutional is that true independents and people that are not Dem's and Rep's cannot vote in the primaries in most of the United States. Thus deaning them they're constitutionally given right to vote. We should make a non-party ballot for the primaries and open them to everyone and you will see politicians follow the will of their constitutes.
I am not sick of Bush what I am sick of is the Back stepping of the Dem and Rep elected officials backing off their word to the Iraqi PEOPLE, by saying they were duped into voting for war. Well duped or not the fact is they voted for it and made a promise to give the Iraqi People a secure country before leaving. The cost of doing is high in the cost of life but in terms of other wars the cost of life so far doesn't even touch the loss of life in a years time for other wars. Yes any loss of life is tragic but as a former solder I'd still give my Life for the freedom we take advantage of on a daily basis. What our leaders need to do is follow through with they're word. Give them ( Iraqi people) what was promised. For this is what we (U.S.A) will be JUDGED on by the rest of the world in times to come. So do we pull out and get viewed as a nation that says they'll help but leaves when the going gets tuff or do we stay and fight it out. Showing the world the measure of or resolve is stronger than the weak-minded fundamentalists that hate our way of life, because we allow our woman to have freedoms such as working, voting and the list goes on and on.

"Our goal should be to move children who have no health insurance to private coverage — not to move children who already have private health insurance to government coverage," Bush said.
Did you not read that part. That's why it gets the veto. You pull this question out of that story...why for a that-a-girl on Y!A.
Congress and the president need to focus more on making the insurance companies do their job. Then we wont need Child health care or Universal health care.
Also until you read the full bill how can you bash him for attempting to veto the bill. Just because it has Child in the title doesn't mean it won't try and worm in illegals, or a pay increase for the insurance commissioners. Get off the uninformed bandwagon and look things up instead of tossing your opinions from side to side.
If it was that good of a bill a veto really wouldn't matter would it. That whole 2/3Rd's vote thing. Assuming that it does have widespread republican support
@ Henry VIII-so many big words in two paragraphs...to say nothing.

No, I'm not sick of him. I'm sick of the political games from Congress.
At a time when the President is going to have to request more funding for Iraq, the Democrats put forth a bill to give kids "Free" healthcare? Come on? Anyone can see the political games here. Why can't you?

Partisanship is good! Serves you dems right for screwing up our society. Bush suffers from a low approval rate on the righ because he has shown too much bipartisanship in the past. When you vote for the man you can complain all you like. Otherwise shut the 'f' up.

Fatigued of the acts by which I am forced to side with Senators such as Charles Schumer. Opening up the NASDAQ to Dubai elicits far more of my concern than a bill that is proposed on behalf of an issue that could be solved, at least temporarily, by the extension that was requested.

Yes, sure. And equally sick of the partisan Democrats in Congress who oppose anything he favors and favor anything he opposes. Sometimes I feel like he could come out in favor of the color green, and they'd be arguing til doomsday for the color blue. Partisanship is pretty extreme on both sides, and the fact that you can't see that just illustrates to me that you've probably been sucked in by the partisans on the other side.

I say a pox on all their houses. The Dem's have no brains and no backbone. The GOP is what Tony Blair was to W, a toy poodle. W does seem to win most of his battles that feeds his frat boy ego, he wins and the American people lose both in our treasure and in the life's and limbs of our brave soldiers
That a mess we are in because of the failure of our government, so once again I say a pox on all their houses, congress and the white house.

No, I like the President, but I am tired of excessively partisan Democrats. They've been that way routinely throughout the last 7 years.Bush only resorts to it on the rare occasion when he is extremely frustrated on very important issues.

No. What I AM getting tired of is a do-nothing, Democrat led, low approval rated Congress. I am also tired of the constant whining and crying by members of the Democrat Party who care more about their party than what is best for the USA.
