I am 11 weeks pregnant and have gained about 10 lbs. Before pregnancy I was 114 and 5'3. I am nervous because I've already gained so much weight. The first trimester foods I normally liked sound terrible to me like veggies. If I start watching what I eat, can my weight gain level off or will my appetite just keep increasing through pregnancy? I'd like to hear from people who gained quite a bit early on but didn't gain more than 30-40 lbs. Thanks

With my daugter I gain 70 pounds. Before I find out I was pregnant I was 115 and 5'2" I was huge ja ja. But is a litter bit dengerous because u can have high blood pressure and that's not good for the baby. Just watch what u eat. U will be alright, Good Luck.

Well, that is quite a bit for your 1st trimester. But you are really tiny, so its possible I started out 126lbs 5'3. Now, I am 19 weeks, and 122lbs. But I had EXTREME morning sickness. Watch what you eat (only good things) but dont try and lose the weight, just try to keep it about a pound a week from here on in. CONGRATS.

Wow. I'm 11 weeks pregnant, too, and I've also gained 10 lbs. I've eaten very little unhealthy foods, so I don't quite understand what's up with me.

Hi,

Your weight gain seems to be absolutely normal and there is nothing to be scared of. If you are really concerned, consult your doctor. You can visit http://www.myhealthinfo.info for some very useful info on pregnancy. Good luck to be a sweet and proud mother soon!

yes watch your diet and by this i mean try not to eat things like cakes, sweets and biscuits, high fat foods, like pastries etc because there are other nice things you can eat that wont pile on the weight and make you feel like a fat pig, i ate like a pig and put on about 3 stone in weight and it was so depressing! im pregnant again and trying - being the operative word - to avoid these foods

Your baby's tiny tooth buds have started to grow under her gums, her delicate bones are continuing to form, and her ears are scooting up to the sides of her head this week. And how neat is this? The very beginnings of your baby's external private parts are forming right now!
