For my project I have to design a set of 6 stamps based on British culture in some way and is aimed at the younger generation ( teens to young adults ).
Is has to be a bit different from normal every day stamps and one Idea I have just thought of is having a set of images that if you use a magnify glass on you will be able to see a maze that you will be able to try and solve if you wish to. Does anyone think this idea has any real potential or it's a bit silly? I'm undecided. Any thoughts on this or alternatives would be great, thanks :)

That's a fresh and good idea, but only if the stamp is Mint. My concern is that if the stamp is put to use the post cancellation could obliterate the design. One suggestion is to design the 6 stamps to form a photo(of British culture), and collectors would have to get hold of all six parts, each a stamp on its own with value. Or you could design nice foil or hologram stamps of the Queen which display Her Majesty in 'floating' 3D images when looked from different angles. The technology and modern materials used might appeal to the younger generation. As for the British cultural theme, I'm afraid I can't be of much help as I'm not from GB. Good luck.

There is a famous and historic maze at Hampton Court in London you could base your design on. Very fine detail may not come out clearly when on a stamped image. A Versafine stamp is the best for fine detail stamps.
If the magnifying idea doesn't work why not have a section of maze on each stamp. They could then be stamped to make the Hampton Court design or linked in different ways to make other mazes.

I think that's one of the best design ideas I've ever heard. You should make all six stamps have games on them that you can only do with a magnifying glass. That would make them hugely popular with the younger generation. I know I'd collect them! :) I really hope you go through with this idea.

To represent British culture - TODAY?!!!!

If it is to represent "past" period, maybe I will suggest to take this opportunity, but today culture will be destructive task!

What I see from Sky News, BBC, and other resources - it will be better to wait next 20-30 year with project!

Even if You will open Your window, and silently analyze street, You will find nothing to made.
