Playing is a good way to go, but have tried meditation, it beats the depression and keeps your mind off the many problems your have.
Find a quiet room sit down on the floor against the wall and clear your mind...count backwards from 10 to 1. see how long that takes to help your feel better it relaxes you.
I have depression, and I have found that meditation helps a lot. If that doesn't work try going for a walk every now and then. Find a stress relief.

Have you tried speaking to your GP?I think this would be very helpful for you.You don't have to feel ebarrassed because you are not alone,Sometimes you need just a little more help then just praying.I'm sure the good lord does not want you to suffer so much. You prayers are sometimes answered through other people who can help you so go on and be brave and stop your suffering by seeking help.I'm sure you will soon be feeling so much better soon and enjoying life to the full.Life is a gift fron the good lord so live it with love and happiness always.Remember you are never alone everbody has their share of lifes ups and downs.

God IS watching you and he is helping you but consider this a trial and he is testing you to see where your faith is at the moment. IMaybe try another church if you are okay with that. The enemy is fighting you so you would lose your faith...DON'T let him. Sometimes i stomp around the house and say to the enemy that he is not allowed in my house or in my life. I struggle every day wondering where God is but he is with us all the time but sometimes he just steps back and out of the picture for a little while to see if we are truly faithful. Just keep pressing on. God shows up in the weirdest places and times. You will be happy. this is probably one of those trials and just accept it and pray about it. God will give you an answer soon.

Go visit a psychiatrist. Depression is a lot more biological than it is environmental. Heavenly Father isn't "punishing" you nor is he "ignoring" you. This is just one of your trials that came with your life that you must endure through.
You may want to talk to your mother (as it seems you feel more comfortable with her) and let her know that you think you really should have a visit with a psychiatrist. The LDS community is a lot more understanding about biological phenomena now then it was 20 years ago.

Well, how do people in the LDS church feel about going to a counselor (psychologist, LCSW, LMFT)? You can talk to them. A friend once told me that in Germany a popular practice was to talk to a philosopher about life problems or about life in general. There are many problems today and many people cannot get a sense of who they are and where they fit in the world. This leads to feeling that they are lost and fellings of abandonment even in a crowded city. Sometimes we go through hard times, but it is important to look into them and discover what we can learn about ourselves from them. If we don't like it, we can change and we can learn what we might like to make us change. Change can be a slow process of easing into a new way of looking at things. We can do better as long as we keep trying.
There are free counseling services on the internet. Use a search engine for "free counseling". One for anxiety is www.anxietycoach.com. Good luck.

God gives us strength and endurance, not an escape. Perhaps you need to speak to a professional therapist. I dealt with depression for more than 15 years before I got help and I can tell you. It does not go away on its own and no matter how strong you are you cannot cure yourself. Plus, later on, you will have big black holes in your memory when you were in a depressed state, so half of your life will be missing. Seek help while you are young.

God IS there to help you. Are you studying God's Word yourself? He says if He has only good thoughts toward you and that if you seek Him with ALL YOUR HEART that you will find Him. (Jer.29:11-13) That is a promise that you can pray back to God. If you have given your heart to Him He promises to be with you always. (Matt.28:20) Sometimes it helps to talk to someone who is not part of your family. I will pray for you to find happiness and to find the right one to talk to. Also that God will put His arms of love around you and protect you.

This is precisely why God has given mankind the intelligence and ingenuity to properly care for the flock.
It is important that you find both a psychologist and a psychiatrist.
A combination of medication and psychotherapy is the BEST treatment for depression, hands down.
You will get better, but you're going to need treatment.
Hang in there,

You should tell what the problem is so we can try to help you with it. You can pray all day and night if you want to, but don't forget, God answers all prayers, and sometimes the answer is no.

God is imaginary. You have to rely on yourself or other people, things based in reality. God is just going to keep letting you down because there is no personal god.
