Do you have any ideas for a psychological experiment that you would like to perform?
Or is there a classic experiment that you would like to elaborate on or alter in some way or just redo an old one?
Can you think of a psychological experiment, original or old, that can be conducted here on Yahoo Answers?

I'm thinking mainly in the realm of social psychology, but any ideas would be welcome.

Oh, I am not looking for one for school use or even professional use, though I am a psychology major. I just enjoy doing social psychology experiments.

I am not trying to mooch off of anyone's ideas. This is not for school homework or personal profit. This is just out of curiosity.

I'm actually conducting a psychological (true) experiment as a senior in college right now. If you would like some ideas, go to APA.org, look up the different journals, and view some abstracts. They do have a Journal of Social Psychology that you can look at.

Why yes, yes I can design an original psychological experiment, and a social psychological one at that. As a matter of fact, I've done a couple in my day. However, it would not be possible to carry out an actual psych experiment on Yahoo Answers, because there would be no validity, and too many other factors could easily contribute to any findings you would ever obtain.

I like behavior/experimental economics & finance, and how it trashes carefully constructed theoretical models.

Some common ones are bargaining experiments that don't follow what game theory "says" they should.

My favorite one is this: There exists $1000. Two people are allowed to bargain for it.

Person 1 makes an offer on how to split the money. Person 2 either accepts the offer or rejects it.

If they accept it, that is how the money is divvied up. If rejected, no one gets anything. It's a one shot deal, no back and forth.

Gee, I'm sorry. I already thought of an original psychological experiment, and implemented it. That is how I passed my dissertation. Good luck!
But a simple one might be determining racial and/or sexual biases and level of education and hours of computer use through questionnaire.
