I believe the invasion was wrong, but I do support the troops.

I agree with you. There are military personal in Iraq that don't believe they should be there. I don't believe we should be there, many of the folks I know don't believe we should be there. But the folks fighting over there can not just walk off the job because they don't like it. And though I don't support it I know we can't just walk away now. We've caused to much havoc to do that.

I support the troops that are over there, but oppose any more being sent there unless they are needed to insure the safety of those that can't come home. I don't support this Administration because it is fighting this war in the wrong way.

If we can get an Administration that will adopt a strategy that
will accomplish more than losing lives and spending money then I will support the war.

'Supporting the troops' is just a couple of buzz words joined together. The 'troops' are an extention of the nutty policies of the Bush Junta. The fact that these reactionary bums will hide behide the skirts of our military, using them to deflect any critique of their insane and incompetent attempt to control the world's oil supply should at the very least get these political hacks impeached. The general officers that have gone along with this horror story should be busted to privates, court martialed and sent off to Levenworth to dwell on their sins, and the right wing talk show buzzards and FOX executives that have cheered this war on with their crackpot propaganda should be marched naked into the heart of Baghdad and abandoned. This occupation of Iraq has nothing to do with 'supporting' the troops....it has everything to do with using our troops as mercenaries for the Oil Mafia. Worse, our troops, under orders from the lunatics that control the thoughts and movements of the Stooge-in-Chief, George Bush, have destroyed or caused to be destroyed almost all of the essential infrastructure of Iraq, and they're still not done...there may actually be a power plant or a water works still standing somewhere in Baghdad...but don't worry..we'll find it. If you really support the troops you won't force them to continue with this dishonor of our country. You won't allow any more of them to be killed or maimed. You won't disgrace our flag and what it's supposed to stand for or allow the slow strangulation of our Constitution by allowing the Bush regime to use our military and the police power of 'our' government to go on with this nonsense. Support our troops..bring them home and send George Bush and his pirates home as well!

I do. I don't support the war, but I support the troops. My daughter is serving in Iraq. It's different when you have a child over there. Some people who don't have a family member over there don't care about the troops. I said some people don't care about the troops.

War is not a nice thing to have to go trough especially when you are a solider, and even more when you are not supported back home.
I think that this war is completely necessary to keep our country free and to keep the rest of the world from destroying itself. I'm not saying that I like war, I hate to see people die.
By the way you are talking you sound like you don't even know that there's a battle that we did not start, going on here!! We did not "invade" for no reason like you make it sound like. You don't seem to realize that the people we are fighting would stop at NOTHING to Destroy you and all of the United States of America.
Saying "I don't support this war" is basically say that you are a chickin because you don't want to fight for our freedom!!
Look at history, did we get ANYWHERE by TALKING to an enemy?? Especially one who has lost its mind, who has gone insane with the lust for US blood!!

Another typical left wing slant to take criticism off them selves. The anti-war campaign can't be won if they support the war. After all Cindy Shithead would be devastated. Then again you can't speak out against the war and win the election if you need the votes from all the patriotic soldiers fighting for YOUR right to be 'stuck on stupid'. Flip flop, spin and grim is this weeks, last weeks and next weeks marching orders. There is no honor in speaking out against policies if you don't know history.

Explain how it is illegal.

Explain to me why Nancy Pelosi and the entire Congress and House of Representatives, can't get Bush impeached due to this being an "illegal war?"

People will agree with you but your terming, definitions, thoughts and overall idea's have no legal backing for supporting your statement.

it's a argument by the right to make those on the left look a little bit worse, not like they have to make things up to do that. of course you can oppose the war but support the troops, but there are people who oppose the war and don't like the troops either. don't fool yourself into thinking they don't exist, just have to use your power of observation to figure out who fits into which catagory.

Our troops should ALWAYS be supported, regardless of policy, and one's personal opinion on it.

Unfortunately, the people that show up at funerals to protest get more attention and media coverage than our men and women in uniform. Sad, really.

One little side note, PBS everynight has a moment of silence and posts names and photos of soldiers that have given their lives. I think more networks should do it. They all need to be honored - living, wounded, and deceased.

I agree with you. Supporting the troops should NOT be tied into blindly supporting a leader's policy.

Yes, I supported the German troops when they slaughtered 23 million Russians. It was Hitler I didn't like.

That kind of thinking hasn't changed.
