In a restaurant you are trying to enjoy you meal and converse with your companion a waiter hovers and intermittantly asks " Is everything all right" what do you really want to reply?

This drives me nuts.
Why do they feel they want to be your best friend, for pete sakes I only just met them. And no I do not need to know your name.
Serve the food, go away, and come back when my plate is empty.

Its like the smarmy sales people who wont leave you alone in shops when you are looking around, I would love to have a sign on me saying
I am inteligent
I know what I want
I will know when I find it
Till then
Leave me the F**K Alone

That's why I prefer to have my chips wrapped in news paper and sit at the edge of the pier dangling my legs with only the sea gulls to watch.

It would be fun to grab their hand, hold it behind my back so that it looks like they've got me in an arm lock and start screaming. "Oh! Get him off of me! Help!" Think I could get the meal for free?

If that doesnt work then say, ever so politely, "could you please leave us alone now."
That would be the correct thing to do but what I would really like to say is
"would you ever f*** off and go do some work!"
