Have you been surprised by Morinho's departure?
Do you think this new coach is up to the task?
Do you think we still have a chance in the premier league or the champions league?
What about tomorrow's match?

not your chelsea fan but:
1. at the manner and timing, it is indeed shocking.
2. grant has the credentials but the premiership is a completely different beast tot ame.
3. as soon as you sort out your mess quickly, you do have a very strong chance. it is not as if mourinho went, and all the talents also went with him elsewhere.
4. since you are playing man utd away, i say man utd to win 1-0.

btw, i am a man utd supporter.

As a Gunner,
1) Yes very surprised that a club would allow such a great young manager leave. After all it was not as if he had taken a bung. He won you SIX trophies in THREE years for crying out loud!!
2) The key to any successful team is the Manager and though the millions were a great help, you cannot take the success away from Jose. After all, He won UEFA Cup Winners and Champions League with unknown players of FC Porto. Great achievement! This other bloke will bear the brunt of players displeasure. The odds are against him I'm afraid.
3) I think Chelsea will raise their game over next few weeks but ultimately the players will disunite because Jose not there to unite them as he did. No major trophies this season.
4) Hi tempo Chelsea performance and possible win for the blues. Man U not scoring more than 1 goal a game and the Blues emotions will be channeled professionally into getting a result.

1) Surprised? More like wanting to curl up into a ball and die of angst.
2) Avram Grant may have done well in Israel, but he doesn't even have his UEFA licence yet. Plus he's a friend of Roman, which is always suspicious.
3) The coach may have changed, but the players haven't. I still think Chelsea has a fair shot at the league title once all of our injuries recover. Not sure about the Champions League, though. We couldn't win that even with Mourinho and all of our best players.
4) 1-0 for Chelsea if we're lucky. And what with all this other stuff going on, we'd have to be VERY lucky indeed.

And yes, I am a Chelsea fan, but I'm not very optimistic at the moment.

is was surprised but when you think about it the russian has been making it hard for him since the jan transfer window by not letting him buy a player or two considering the money he let ranieri throw away.
i don't think grant is up to it but here's hoping that he proves a few people wrong.
i don't think we have much of a chance winning anything with grant as manager are best hope is for russia not to make the world cup and hiddink joining us in late november.
tomorrow i hope we get a draw at least.

Chelsea always have a selection problem. Sometimes it can be a good problem but in this case, it most certainly isn't. They have way too many attacking players who all want to start and so Mourinho still doesn't know what his best 11 is. One week Hazard, Oscar, Schurrle and Torres will play, the next week it's Mata, Oscar, Willian and Eto'o. We've seen this happen pretty much every week and cuz of this, Chelsea are dropping points. Mourinho has even played Ramires as right winger and Schurrle as striker this season.

I think it should be Mata left wing, Oscar in the centre, Hazard on the right and Eto'o up front. Torres has had too many chances, Ba isn't good enough so it's time for Eto'o to get his run in the team. It should've been Lukaku up front but they'd rather send him to Everton than give Ba on loan to Arsenal.

Chelsea have lost the plot destined to obscurity. Abramovich will pull his money out next. A lot of the problem is Kenyon/

Just heard on the news that Jose Murinho has asked to be allowed to return to Portugal for a holiday and then simply disappear.

I loved the SkyNews interview.
"the fans love me, the game loves me, chelsea love me."

1 minute later.....

"I don't want anything more to do with Chelsea."

Priceless.
