A lot of bargains can be had second hand.
A few years ago I needed a new suit for a wedding and was expecting to pay a wad of cash for it. A chance visit to a charity shop and I found not only a suit that fitted me, but one that appeared to have had almost no previous use.
The cost--£10.00

We live in a material world, and some people buy into the notion that if it's expensive and new, it makes them a better person. Sad!

Because they are wasteful scumbags. I can't buy new stuff - don't know why, just can't! I hate chain clothing stores and usually inherit people's old decrepit rubbish - it comes here to die and that's fine by me! If I buy new stuff it always f*cks up and then I hate myself for buying trash!

only ones that seem to frown on it are those who can afford to spend a ton on first hand stuff. ::shrugs::

it depends what it is, antiques are 'second hand' , but buying a second hand pair of knickers is not the same! lol
