I used to be so fragile like a piece of glass, my feelings got hurt easily, I was so shy to the point I was hopeless. Then one day I decided to change my life. I started nursing classes. I graduated the third in my class. I had a wonderful career as a nurse.I retired after twenty years, I can now do public speaking, and I do volunteer work for my community.

I am personally not physically fragile, as I have a big stature, but emotionally/mentally I am quite fragile, to be honest.

I'm fragile when I'm tired because I begin to regress and unravell sometimes. As an adult I'm quite controlled; the problem being that I wasn't always an adult...(Sorry if I was rude in last question of yours I answered Michelle.)

Often in winter, I've ventured outside to find spiders' webs decorating the garden hedges - their most delicate filigree work, with shining, minute droplets of dew trembling on each finely drawn "wire", like some dazzling array from Nature's jewellery box. I could never bring myself to destroy something so beautiful or so painstakingly made. Your poem reminded me of this. P.S. While waxing lyrical, however, I would also echo another answerer's comment about "and a prism it becomes". I generally like consistency in the use of EITHER a natural, colloquial speech style OR a more classical 'poetic' style but not both mixed.

I'm as fragile as the stem of a porcelain flower... or a Wonder bubble. One of the two.
