No. A 3 foot snakes needs at least a 4 foot long cage, but the width can be 12". Wouldn't you be annoyed if you couldn't stretch out?

It's a bit on the small side, especially if you have a thicker bodied snake like a ball python. You certainly don't need a 4 foot long tank. With that formula everyone with a corn snake would need a 5 or 6 foot long tank!. If the snake is full grown at 3 foot and is not a thick bodied species then a 15 gal. would be more appropriate, that's 24" x 12" x12"

Not really. All of my snake enclosures are the length and width of the species at full grown size and just as high.
