I like soul : Just gimme a sign girl; temptations, eddie kendricks anything with a good strong melodie!

Those are 1960s songs.

I can run any Lieber/Stoller song through my head, especially the brilliance and wit of The Coasters.

Eddie Cochran's original "Summertime Blues" is another. And just about any of the 1950s Ray Charles.
