I am doing a 2000 word paper for school and i need some more info.

yes and no. a higher percentage of blacks relative to the population as a whole are executed than whites or other races. but that's because a higher percentage of blacks are committing these horrible crimes. they're not sent to death row because they're black, they're sent there because they committed the crime and that is nobody's fault but they're own.

No,I don't think so.When a person is convicted in a death-penalty case,the 'mitigating' and 'aggrivating' factors are considered.The first is the arguments against imposing death:bad childhood,drugs,mental imparement,etc.The second is the argument FOR it:priors,extra brutality,more than one victim,etc.The people on death row -both black and white-are all there for the most part with good reason.

Show the figures. I'll bet if you look at the last 100 executions done in the U.S., 90% were white.

Absolutely.

Just look at the O.J. Simpson case. If her were white, he'd be on Death Row today, if not already executed.

i don't think so -- you don't get the death penalty for attempted murder, resisting arrest, and all that good stuff.
