My answer is the same as the other of your questions is the same as this one is the same as the other one is the same. I just got points for answering the same question. All right, as the kids say.

I have been thinking about this a lot....

They call this the Senior Citizen's site. And WE are the Senior Citizens. So shouldn't it be up to US to decide what sort of question is acceptable for this site, and what isn't?

I don't suppose that there is even ONE Senior Citizen employed in the Customer Service department at Yahoo, so WHO ARE THEY to decide what should go on OUR Senior Citizen's site?!

Who would know better what is acceptable to a Senior...some 20 something techie PAID to work for a company, or an honest to God Senior Citizen who spends hours a day visiting said site?

I say that we should all go down to the link located on the bottom of each and every Yahoo page, where it says "Help us improve Yahoo! Answers.Tell us what you think." and click on the link and TELL YAHOO that we want input as to what is acceptable on OUR site!

WE are the Yahoo COMMUNITY on this particular site, not that 20 something techie!!

Good point & I agree, however on the flip side, your site probably contains some of the more interesting & informational questions & answers that the majority of those that participate would miss. Could a question ever be placed @ 2 sites. I don't think so but what a joy it would be for many.

Are you sure you asking in the right place? LOL! :-D
I think some people just make a point of being resentful. Instead of focusing on a real answer they will whine and moan about spelling or where you ask. What gets me, I bet most of the ones that point out spelling errors use spell checker all the time and I hate to hurt feelings, but, that is not knowing how to spell.
So, you just ask away girl and ignore those that can not think of a real answer.

Hi Donya
Isn't there something about "United, we stand"?
I think that once we reach seniority, we should be allowed a little leeway and some questions which might appear in the miscellaneous sections require a different response for older contributors.

I could be wrong BUT I think you are referring to a chat room sort of situation, instead of what Answers is supposed to be.
They say if you want to chat to another person, then do it privately.

I suppose a question posted under "seniors" pertaining to music SHOULD be posted under music, not "seniors".

I hope this makes sense to you.

I know what you mean. I was thinking about that myself. I realize that there are other forums more appropriate for my questions, but I specifically want "seniors" input. That is why I ask an array of questions here.

First answer: because most people are naturally patronising to old and young people.
Second answer: there would be no point to such a site.

Thats just human nature for a few people, and some have nothing better to do than just butt in where they want, just ignore them and they will go away.

Do not understand what you are exactly asking but all questions are should be considered as good questions for information purposes.
