It is a powerful laptop for road warriors BUT it is NOT a gaming laptop. Its graphics is low-end integrated type. Games would still be slow even at minimum settings. For that price, you could get something with a better GPU and a larger screen.

Well it is a yes and no question. All of the hardware it has inside of it is good. So it would make a pretty good gaming laptop. Not to shabby. The flip side is your software. Windows vista is a joke when it comes to gaming. There are sooooooooooooooooooo many games that vista is not compatible with. My girlfriend bought a nice toshiba with windows vista. 1,200 dollar laptop and we just returned the damn thing because it would not play any of the 8 games we needed it to. So you are better off just buying a desktop. Don't waste your money on vista. If you can find a used laptop with windows xp. =)

You do know that the screen size on that laptop is really small. I'd advise you at least look at the machine first, make sure the screen size is ok with you.

Most laptops come with at least a 14" screen and I noticed this one is only 12". Something to really consider.

As far as gaming it should be reasonably ok for gaming, depending on the kind of gaming you're doing.
Bioshock, Half-Life 2, Halo, those kinds of games are not going to play well on this system. Most of your RTS games (World in Conflict, Command & Conquer, etc), may work ok on this unit.

No not really. It has a GO6150 and that doesnt do dynamic shading or shomething like that. You ned to get something with and 8 series card like the GO8600 or the GO8800. Adecent gaming laptop will run about 2000 dollars.

Everything is suitible for fairly high end games; your gpu is described;

# Support for DirectX 9.0 Shader Model 3.0 for more realism in 3D games and applications.

# Hardware accelerated HD video support via NVIDIA PureVideo™ technology—the only notebook IGP solution that supports hardware accelerated H.264 HD video playback.

# High-performance 3D architecture built for Microsoft Windows Vista— the industry's first operating system to require a GPU to realize its full potential

It clocks at 800mhz which is pretty good.

its otherwise quite a good machine (i almost bought this model myself) but the graphics option leaves a lot to be desired. Its a quite old and dying GPU chipset with shared memory - I cant really recommend it. Your Frame Rate is going to be a bit dire.

Its a shame too because its otherwise a great lappy/tablet - but for 3D gaming it is going to leave you wanting a lot more. Alternatievely, try looking into the HP Pavillion series (I got a dv6500 myself) or the Acer laptops are also pretty beefy - my friend pwned me with his :) but he got it in Honk Kong so im sure it doesnt count

since your not a hardcore gamer, that computer is perfect for you. now if you are into games like oblivion....that is way too low but games like lets say...counter strike, call of duty, maplestory XD, it should be no problem.
