Guns don't kill, people WITH guns kill. Isn't that much more honest than the misleading motto that people kill

For the hardnuts, sure there are other ways to kill, but they are not as easy and as cowardly as pointing a gun FROM A DISTANCE. As someone else pointed out, most murders are done in an emotional outburst when a gun is handy.

Car's/bombs
Punching/kicking someone to death
Poisons
Strangling someone

Yes people kill.. They need to be locked up.. Put away....
