Periods can smell sometimes. The odor is stronger when you use pads because it's exposed to oxygen which will disintegrate (can't find the right word) the odor into the air. While tampons do dramatically decrease the odor compared to pads, the only way to have an odorless period is to use a menstrual cup because those have a suction protection seal which means nothing can drip onto your underwear. I recommnd switching to that - I did a few months ago and it has completely changed how I feel about my period. I used to hate it because tampons leaked a lot (blood would go down the string - even after I had just inserted it!). Anyway, I would just re-schedule your doctor appointment when your period is over so you can get a cleaner urine sample. Best of luck!

my son has had a problem for years. Although nothing new may be happening, ask his teacher if there is new kids in the class. They might be picking on him. I know yelling and telling him he is bad is NOT the answer as this only damages his self-esteem. My son was basically lazy and way to busy playing to go. You will need to stay on him and tell him to go every two hours whether he needs to or not. We used Dextol LA or somthing like that for a couple of years, which helped. Now he is off that, but I still have to remind him once and awhile. I know this is not much help. Good luck.

Okay, the world is almost half women, and all of them get their period. Your doctors will understand. Don't be afraid to tell them about it. Sometimes, when i girl has their period, it has a strange odor like sweat. This is completely natural. You should know that your period isn't just blood. It's kinda gross to think about, but your period is made up from discharge, blood, and skin. You shouldn't worry about either of those problems.

The doctor will not ask you to pee in the bottle if you are having your menses. If there is a urine test that has to be taken, you will be given another date for the test (usually 3 days after the last day of your menses).

umm i think you still have to do the cup thing. But your period smells because it is not only blood. It is mostly tissue of your uterious. and yea it sucks having your period. the smell is horrable. but when your ready i would switch to tampons cause you dont see most of the blood and it isnt as bad with the smell. but make sure you shower daily and scrub down there
