i have heard of sites that you can go on and look up your address and view your house from space, satalite whatever? is there a site and if so what is it

www.satellite-sightseer.com is the best one also google maps but its a small view screen

Please note that Google Earth is NOT a website--it's a (free) application program that you have to download and install. Also, it only works if you have high-speed, broadband Internet; definitely won't work over dial-up.

Google MAPS (maps.google.com) is a website that uses the same satellite images as Google EARTH. I would suggest trying that first. It doesn't do all of the cool things that Google Earth does, but it might run better if you have a slow connection or an older computer.

Also, please note that these are NOT live images. You won't be able to see a picture of your friend waving at the satellite. Most of the images are a few months to a few years old. The technology to view live satellite images of the whole country does not exist (except on "24").
