1. get your partents' support for you to be an actor
2. be in all the school plays
3. get a mentor
4. take professional acting classes
5. be in more plays (community theatre)
6. learn how to audition and interview
7. put together your resume and get a headshot
8. apply to agents for representation

Try going to a local drama group which isn't associated with school. I used to go to one, and they'd be contacted every time there were auditions for parts of extras/dancers/etc. At the local theatres (where really big productions go on). I've heard stagecoach is also particularly good for this too). They're not huge roles, but they'll get you to where you want to be; on stage.
