measurment be on his model? PLEASE HELP :(. Just tell me how to do it. MY math teacher says to do 2/8=x/28 as a proportaion but I dont know how :( Please help :)

You must know that 2:8in = 1:4in.

So, 1:4 = x:28
Since 4 x 7 = 28, you must multiply the 1 by 7 as well to make the ratios equivalent.
(1 x 7) : (4 x 7) = x : 28
x = 7

Well.... Your math teacher is correct. But it's easier to note that you're making a 1/4 scale model (2/8 = 1/4). So just divide all of your measurements of the real object by 4. The 28 inch measurement would then become 28/4 = 7 inches long.

2":8" = 1:4
So every 4" on the object will be 1" on your model.
28"/4 = 7"
So your measurement will be 7" on the model.

or 2/8 = 1/4 = 7/28
