I was diagnosed with hpv about a year ago and had to have a leep procedure. My cervix has now closed itself over with scar tissue because of the procedure and has no opening what so ever. I feel hopeless. I want a child so bad but don't have the money for adoption or fertility treatment. Any suggestions.

I'm curious who told you that your cervix has closed over completely. Does this mean that when the time comes for your period, that all the blood and tissue remains trapped inside and doesn't come out?

If you have ever had any vaginal bleeding since the LEEP, then that statement is not true and you still have hope on getting pregnant naturally.

If menstrual blood can get out, then sperm can get in. It might be scarred enough that a catheter or PAP smear brush can't get in, but there are ways around this. I imaging that your cervix still looks normal, with only some adhesions in the CANAL itself. So the solution is fairly easy and potentially painless. If the entire cervix is this distorted mutilated mass of tissue, that's another story completely, but that really should not result from a simple LEEP or two.

If you are young, there is still time for you to save up the money even if you don't have enough now to afford raising a baby. Good luck!

The only thing I can think of is Invitro .. if even possible. If scar tissue is completely covering your cervix I'm not sure that you can even do these procedures .. When you get your period does it come normal? Because if it's coming down then there must be some kind of openning that hasn't been blocked and I'm sure you'd be able to get pregnant. If you don't get regular cycles, thats your first step. My doc actually kind of skipped over that step and I had an HSG done to see if my fallopian tubes open. I actually did that yesterday and they're OPEN! So my next step is probably going to be taking something to make me ovulate like Clomid. I also have PCOS by the way, so I don't ovulate regularly. I know it's a little discouraging but try taking your mind off of it a little, sometimes it's just not the right time, or you havent timed it right.

Listen to the OC endocrine reply. He/she is correct. You might go to your obstetrician and ask to have him or her probe the cervix with a sound, which would open up the cervix even more. There are many treatments for polycystic ovaries, but all take prescriptions or surgery. You can google polycystic ovaries, or pcostreat.com for information on this syndrome.

I am sure there has to be some kinda surgery to reopen your cervix, and just beauce you have cyst does not mean you can't get pregnant! I have cystic ovaries as well I have gotten pregnant!

Good Luck!
