2 options....... send them away and spend hard earnt cash
or do it your self..... easy peasy.....
does take time and hard drive space but it does work.

set the projector up in a spare room with screen.
set your digital camera next to the projector. hopefully you will have fire wire outlet on your video camera.

play and record......

fire wire the film onto computer (this is where you need hard drive space....

use windows movie maker if you wish to add titles etc...
keep it on your computer or make a dvd.

all its cost you is a bit of time and a few pence for the dvds

I think first you have to convert the cine films to an MPEG format and then feed the information into your PC. You could then burn the video onto your disks using software such as NERO.

The solution offered above won't work (well, it will give you flickering awful movie): you need to synchronise the camera with the projector and have a camera capable of capturing images in less than 1/50 sec (and it is not going to take "a few minutes", but many hours).
ONLY specialised equipment are capable of doing this, and it is a very costly equipment.
Your best bet is to use the service of providers. Not cheap, but good.

yes it is possible but you need more than just software...you need something that can look at each frame of the reel and convert each picture into a digital code of zeros and ones...data.

the thing which does this isn't included in your computer.

the process is called digitizing. the service is commercially available

the only thank you to repeat a DVD in any respect is to ilegally crack the disk and rip the documents. that's if truth be told the comparable way pirates make copies of DVDs. the only thank you to get vids for iTunes is to acquire them rather.
