I have a 17 yo I'd like to compare with you guys.

My 17yo is in the marching band. They get up in the morning and start at 6:30a. They practice for at least 2 hours, then he has the rest of the day. He walks home from the bus stop pouring sweat. Later in the evening he'll give me a hug...and I say--EEEEwww. You stink. He laughs, maybe takes a shower, and puts the same clothes back on. If he takes his shoes off anywhere in the house, I can smell them. And yes, he does use deodorant soap, deodorant, gel and odor eaters. He won't shower at all unless I make him. And he has been known to do the just get the hair wet thing. I have to test him sniffingly...lol

He just discovered girls, became a friend, and now he's showering so that she won't be grossed out. He's even brushing his teeth.

When i was that age, i don't know why but i didn't wanted, i don't know why!!!, it was just.... i didn't wanted to take a shower, i don't know, i even turn on the shower and stayed in the bathroom for a little bit, got my hair wet and got out, now i remember and don't understand it. it was stupid, i think we don't like it when they tell us to do it.
If he's not doing it just tell him that the girls are not gonna like him like that, maybe he will!.

cmon can I play? I'm 28 but i am very young for my age. hehehe. Anyways, I work every day 9-5 so i shower each day. Then on weekends, prob only once, Saturday if I go out or Sunday morning right before football or going out for breakfast.
Now i 'm curious. Dont most 17 year olds shower AT LEAST every day?? Maybe I'm wrong. Any more and you are probdrying your skin out.

I have a 17 year old too and he takes at least one shower a day usually more he is always in the mirror trying to look good for those little raggedy girls I guess(LOL)

every morning and before any event where I don't want to stink: aka concerts, sometimes sporting events that I watch, going out for a day in the nearest city, just things that I want to make a good impression with when I'm there.

My little brother is 14, he does everyday to every second day =S Im hoping thats close to normal for a 14 year old haha...
