Tam-I've told you this before, but you've got a real jewel there.
I know that flowers ultimately die and are thrown away, but I love to buy them, arrange them, give them away or display them at my house (I love flowers on my bathroom counter--the mirror reflects them and I get double the flower show). It makes me very happy to work with them--they're bright and cheerful, and I can be creative with them. And the people who receive them are startled that someone loves them enough to show them with flowers. You guessed it, I'm a blossoming florist. I practice new techniques, and then give them away to someone who needs cheering. It gives me a great feeling.

They are well worth the money.
And for those of you who wouldn't buy the fresh flowers, plant crepe myrtles or hibiscus in your yard. They will make you happy every time you pass by, and they don't cost a cent.
