Any auditors for a public firm want to tell me what your day to day activities are like?

You might meet the rest of the audit team in your office, then armed with all your laptops, you'd descend on the client at his office. You'd carry out the audit field work assigned to you, which might include reviewing the work of juniors, depending on your seniority, and you'd need to interact with the client, asking difficult questions sometimes, discuss existence of bad debts, why sales fell this year, etc. When the field work is completed (this can take weeks), you'll all pack up and return to the office to finish up the audit file for submission to the manager.

I have been in auditing in the past. I am currently not. From my experience sometimes I would go to clients, sometimes I would work in the office. If I was at the clients, I would work in an office at the clients normally & would discuss issues with the client(s).

Good luck,
