K-marts, Wal mart's, the products are sh*t anyways.
if that's what you wanna afford; that's what you get in return.
also cut-throat cost-control methods adopted by some corporations trying to profit thus they've to sacrifice product quality and safety.

Well let's not forget Toys R US folks! When a company goes public and its stock is traded on the stock exchange then those company's have to watch their bottom line! Not only getting products from cheaper sources will make their stock increase in value on the open exchange but the corporate bosses make huge bonuses also! GREED is where the money is and soon when the bottom falls out of the economy and the stock market crashes, then all the retired and rich will start to commit harry carry and everyone will say "well how do you think that happened"? Also all the banks will be calling all of their notes and your payment on your home will be demanded NOW or we'll have to take your home from you! Get the picture? Now just where in the hell have I seen this happen before?

It's the PEOPLE of the US who want cheap goods that cause the manufacturers to get products from foreign countries.
If item "X" costs $10 when manufactured in US but only cost $5 when manufactured in a foreign country, most people will buy the one for $5.
So, stores like Wal Mart, in order to supply the people of the US cheap products, get them where that can find them for the least cost.

The same reason they allow illegals to invade the country, GREED. Don't blame Wal mart. Try to buy any place and you will find it hard to find something made in America. Most of those high price designer items are made out of the country by cheap labor.

In the long run (few decade) they will sort of supply. Now plastic, stainless steal... very cheap. But who know how expensive they are in the future. So, buying cheap and keep doing recycle will help our next generations.

Used to be cheap labor in the US via slaves , and company town constricted labor but ,
The unions forced them to scale back on some of that ,
So now , companies take the work elsewhere .

US consumers want to buy all sorts of junk at cheap prices. A lot of kids have so many toys it is just insane. And they want a new one every week.

because, while unions drive up wages they also drive up the cost of the product being produced making it more expensive than its worth. in other countries slavery is illegal, but slave wages are not.
