Or will they think about their own political careers & save their jobs. I am neither Dem or Rep. Just curious to hear what others may say or think.

It sounds like your two scenarios are the same thing.

Backing away from Bush's stance would be in effort to save their own political careers.

And yes, I think we will see that happen.

It would rely on any fact that any of that really mattered or was an actual fact to decide on. As few politicians have provided any actuality to these assumptions. In reality, what really does "Bush's stand" have on the political reality of other candidates? He's basically over politically, all that is left is "his" legacy. Do you think any new president could withstand that legacy? It don't really matter, as they are stuck with it in any event. Is change what voters/americans want? That is the real issue.

your neither...yeah right. your question has no answer as your premise is false...if they are "backing away" then how come even harry reid admits he keeps getting shot down with this ridiculous volley of unilateral surrender articles of legislation...you lose on this one liberal...have a nice day.

GWB has all but guaranteed a Democrat president, and a majority in both houses. You can look for them to run from him like rats from a sinking ship.
