Is this a contest winner short story idea?

The year is 2050 and scientist now know about to time travel and clone and telaportation. A Women gives birth to a child when he was eight years old he went to walk to school but was ran over by her car and died . They had a funeral and her husband missed work at the time when thier was a massacar at his work. She wants to go back in time to stop her son from dieing but it cost 100,000 per time travel so she goes back in time and dosent let her son go to school that day but then since they didnt have a funeral she forgot all about her husband massacare at work and her husband now dies. So she wants to go back in time to save her husband. But the people who operate the machines only allow one visit so they cant alter history but one day when she snuck in the time machine and enterted the date she wanted to time travel back in. She makes a typo and is sent back in time and find out she was traveld back to the year when the car was created she thinks if she can slay the man who created ca

r so she goes back to the year she was currently lived in and thier was no pollution and the pollutio nin 2050 made man live only 50 years at the most but she happy till she found all the side effects she keep trying to time travel till she can save her husband and child

I had some difficulty understanding the story but, I got the jist of it. In pricipal you have the beginning of a story but fall off somewhere in the plot. Also I had difficulty with grammar and spelling. Just keep practicing and learning to speak/write acceptable grammer and spelling.

I know this is your summary, so we can expect the action to play out more slowly. This is a good idea for a sci-fi story. In order to make it an award winner, you have to develop your characters and make the action of the plot move forward so that it makes sense. In the beginning of your story, you have to lay out the way living in the year 2050 looks and feels. It doesn't have to be too complicated, just talk about anything the reader may find interesting or troubling about how your characters live. You could make the operators of the time machine your comic relief. They could be silly or Yoda-like. Of course, your spelling and grammar need to be fixed before this will win any contest, so be careful in your final draft.
