Getting divorced. Sharing the kids 50-50. I get to have them Tuesday-Friday morning, she from Friday to Monday afternoon. I would like to have them at least one weekend a month. Unfortunately this does not add up mathematically.
How can we resolve this?

Like it or not you will have to communicate the schedule with your ex either way.
Once you separate there will be schedule conflicts and special events on each side.
For the children, be open about it and tell her when you would like to watch them on a weekend or two. If the children enjoy that then be open minded and have respect for each other.
Stick with the schedule you've come up with already but agree to make changes for one another when needed and whenever possible.

You just have to talk with your children's mother about it. People have different schedule from time to time, both parents should make it flexible for each other as well as for the children.

My children's father can only have them on Friday night till Monday morning. It works out with us, and we always remind each other call advance if one of us needs more time for the kids or time just for themselves.

One day, she will find that she needs the weekend off from the children to do her activities. You will too!

Do it week to week. You get them one week she gets them the next.
