Only in a TV show. And don't name your kid after a character in a TV show...25 years from now, when the show is dated and seems cheesy, your kid will be stuck with a name from Nick at Nite reruns.

Shakespeare used it for a girl in Much Ado About Nothing. There's also a female Hero in mythology. To my knowledge, there's no similar use of Hero as a boy's name.
While it has an appealing sound, wow, this would be a lot to live up to. I'd skip it in favor of Hugo or Theo.

i don't know. i'd be worried about teasing in school and future job applications / interviews, etc. Kids do have to have their names their entire lives, afterall. How about something like Harold, Harrison, Horatio,or something of that nature and call him Hero as a nickname?

That's a cute boy's name, but you need to remember that it is also a sandwich and a current TV show. Maybe try spelling it like Hiro.

I suppose, if you're a celebrity. It's not a real name, though, is it. It's no more a name than Lotion, Friend, or Raspberry.

I think it's kinda cute, but might be a lot for a little tyke to feel he needs to live up to. Maybe though it would inspire him in the right direction in life...
