Without comparisons...how would you know where you stand?

There is no wrong in distinguishing that you are closer to point A than to point B...just in attributing that one is better than the other.

Know where you are...
Know where you want to go...
But don't care whether you make it or not...
For no one outcome is ever really better than the next...

Yes honey. There are goods and bads in comparisons though. The good thing is that it will encourage another person to do better and show his/her worth. The bad thing is no one likes comparisons though as each individuals lead different lives.

Not necessarily. If you are comparing your current relationship to a past one, then yes. But as a rule, life is full of comparisons we make to decide on which direction we will take.

Yes in general unless they are your own tastes like I like beef better than chicken.
Anything else is sort of pointless.

I think they serve a decision making purpose if you hav limited resources and greater than limited options.
