Sure, hernia repair does not affect fertility, but whether or not there will be complications with a pregnancy depends on the size and location of the original hernia and the nature of the mesh repair. Only your physician can advise you as to whether or not you should get pregnant. I would think that if pregnancy were contraindicated he would have tied your tubes..

i,ve had 4 hernia maintenance. the only surgical procedures that worked nicely have been incisional surgical procedures with mesh. i,m specific being pregnant impacts any hernia fix. I even have some structural illness in my musculature that makes my carriers to top belly hernias. i,m doing crunches at one hundred twenty lbs. on gymnasium machines, and each element is staying in place. because of the fact which you,ve had maintenance, a well being care expert is your ultimate source of information. while i grew to become into working in a toolroom, i grew to become into no longer allowed to return to paintings for 8 weeks after a hernia fix.

I had a hernia removed right above my pubic bone and Im 35 weeks and sometimes when I stretch it pulls and hurts a little but my doctor said that its fine cause its just the scar tissue, which is thicker than actual skin and its not going to rip back open or anything. They also put that mesh stuff in me too.
