The guitar tone and quality of production aren't much different, but Black Sabbath recorded and produced their albums some 30 years ago with inferior technology.
sabbath songs are constructed with a number of different riffs in each resulting in more complexity, where stripes songs are built around one simple riff.
Tony Iommi is WORSHIPPED by most metal bands as an influence and inspiration (Metallica for example) and his guitar work has stood the test of time, where Stripes certainly hasn't.
I like Stripes' rawness and simplicity, but they are certainly no Black Sabbath.

Black Sabbath was (and still is ) a metal band, with few exceptions their songs were constructed around hree things- 1) dark lyrics that often involved Satan (at least in the early 69-74 peiod)
2) Vocals usually monotone, often effective in conveying a sinister atmoshere, occasionally portentous and downright hilarious. (True metal screams are reserved for the Dio & Gillian albums)
3) song structures composed of riffs linked by interludes for virtuoistic guitar soloing, especially on the fade outs
White Stripes are harder to pin down stylistically
1) lyrics more abstract, sometimes allegorical, other times nonsensical
2) not metal, more garage, but with strong pop hooks. Riffs usually more simplistic, but they have an inevitablity, that, once heard, bears repeating (pun intended, I guess)...
3) Music and vocals can be abrasive, sweet, even humorous. All in all a more interesting band, at least now.
Sabbath's peak was long ago and they've earned the right to cling to the past.
Edit: Isn't the fun part of an i-Pod mixing and matching different things...try this one-
BS "Hole In The Sky" which fades into the acoustic interlude "Don't Start (Too Late)" right into WS "My Doorbell". I just added it to mine!

From a zoological attitude you're suited, because of the fact zebras are dark-pigemented animals with white stripes the place the pigmentation is inhibited. The pigment of the hair is got here across completely in the hair and not in the floor. From a layperson's attitude, they're white with black stripes, because of the fact there is extra white on them than black. so which you ought to argue for it the two way.

I went to see Black Sabbath with Ronnie James Dio and Tony Iomi was HAMMERING on that guitar. He is truely a guitar GOD.Geezer Butler and Vinni Appesse did their awsome stuff too.Now who or what White Stripes is I am not sure. But I do know Black Sabbath. They are part of the root system of Heavy Metal. The term Heavy Metal was coined by Jimmi Hendricks. When asked to describe the sound of his music he said "It sounds like heavy metal falling from the sky".

The iPod shuffle phenomenon, taking totally disparate groups, and having them play back-to-back, you may love the White Stripes, may even love Ozzy, but not sure together. It's like French's mustard and wasabi, both are condiments, great for their respective use, but not the same at all.
