I'll rephrase it this time since it was removed by some of the kind folks who disagree with my opinion. What ever happened to free speech? Why should 6 kids, black, white, green, purple,... not be punished for beating another kid? Surely if it were a 6 green kids beating one blue kid, alot of you would think differently? Racism is alive but one particular group, with Al and Je$$e keep it alive. Let the school solve its own problems, I'm sick of hearing it. Why weren't Al and Je$$e at WVa when that black girl was found after being kept in a shed and abused in every way possible? No cameras, no $$$$$, that's why? Aren't her rights important too? Justice alright.

they are not innocent - i don't care what happened in the preceding days. The white boys should be charged if they committed crimes in the preceding days, but it doesn't erase the fact that they beat him unconcious and stomped his body.
wonder where je$$e & Al will be when that kid winds up killing somebody??? They'll be hiding their ugly faces. Unless its a white person they kill - then they'll be out crying racism again - it's sickening

Al and Jesse get their faces into everything when it involve blacks and whites.
Examples:
Rev Al was very vocal about the rape of the black stripper girl by those white Duke Lacrosse players. He called for the fullest prosecution. Oh, what was that...she lied about the incident. Al, where did you go.
Jesse ran to the aid of a black teen in Decatur, ILL that was being expelled from school for starting a riot at a football game. The teen said it was just a fight, so Jesse came to stand by his side saying a fight is not a reason for expulsion. Then Jesse saw the tape of this teen running up the aisle swinging wildly at anyone in the way. Then it was "Well, I know it was bad, but we have to think of his education". Then he saw his school records that showed he was in high school for 3 years and still did not earn enough credits to be considered a sophomore. Jesse, where did you go.
Now, when I read these articles it seems like some details are being left out. Whether it be intentional or by accident I get the feeling the whole story is not being told. If it does come out to show this is nothing more than a criminal act and not a white/black thing....Al and Jesse will be running for the hills...looking for their next camera opportunity.

People here seems to think the noose incident and the Justin Barker incident are related. They happened two months apart. The noose students were suspended. They were not arested because they committed no crime. I really do not understand the stupidity of some people. The school did what it could according to state law... it suspended them. Schools cannot arrest students. There were no grounds for expulsion because no property was destroyed and no person was injured
Yet, people here continue to bellyache because the white boys weren't punished. Yes, they were... according to the laws dictated to schools, suspension is as good as it gets! Schools cannot cart them off to jail. And schools cannot just make up some sort of punishment. We should all be thankful for that.
Assault on school grounds always involves filing a report. . That is mandated by law. Most of the time it is the school security who reports this. Hanging a noose and assault that will require $14,000 in medical bills for that assault victim is like comparing apples and oranges.
People should have to submit to some sort of intelligence test before being allowed on this message board.
Truly, I did not realize ignorance was so rampant.

I'm getting kinda tired of hearing about all of this.
I think both sides are wrong.
The white boys shouldn't have done what they did, and should have been disciplined for it. The DA said that there were no criminal charges for what they did, so I think the school should have handled what happened.
Also for the 6 they made their choice to beat the white boy so then they should be held responsible for their actions also.
The 6 made their decision to break the law and assualt the white boy.
The white boys didn't break the law.
End of Story.
If anyone thinks that there should be a law about hanging nooses then write a frickin letter and try to get a law passed instead of wasting time standing in groups saying the 6 did nothing wrong!!!!!!!

Guilty as charged.
I'm not rascist, but ever since the Jim Crowe laws back in the 60's, Americans have emancipated blacks as minorities.
I think the judicial system should be scrutinized and leveed so that substantial laws are in the system to put people like these behind bars forever.

Well gangs have been around forever and hangings happened to my family in England and the heads rolled off my ancestors, but you don't see me acting like these mentally disturbed kids who happen to be black and racist, I'm sort of sick of them calling people racist when they are the only ones crying about it when they get caught doing a crime, and a harmful one at that I guess they are lucky the kid lived and really think about this people how long are they going to cry and think they are the only race that had bad things happen to their people 100 years ago when does it end?

I totally agree. Everything that goes on, people wanna turn it into somethings racist, and that just isn't right. If someone is racist, then whatever that is their life. You have the right to not like people right? I'm not racist but i think people take stuff like this way too far.

Yeah I haven't paid attention to black protests since the OJ trial (the first one). If they'll protest that they'll protest anything.
