It appears to be an albino, with red eyes, and pink skin. It is to be hoped that it will be permitted to live it's life in the ocean in peace, and Sea world will not capture it and put it in a show.

Low blow, I don't even like Disney movies. And they have a charter boats running so anyone can see this youngster in his natural habitat. My daughter sent me the e mail of the baby, I have not seen it in person. Still think it is wrong to put it in captivity, and make it perform for tricks.

Did not mean to annoy Sea World. I stand corrected. I should have said, I hope the baby dolphin is not taken into captivity, by anyone period. Dr. Franklin Burton Schwing. oceanographer, and Director of NOAA has stated privately that mamals in the ocean live longer (yes I know there are prey) than those in captivity. Did not know that charter boats harrassed them too. I will just hope that the dolphin lives long and prospers.

Apparently you has misconceptions about Sea World. They don't (contrary to popular belief) go out and capture wild animals to perform in shows. A large majority of the animals they have in their programs are captive born. Sea World actually plays a vital role in rescue and rehabilitation of marine birds and mammals. Please don't blanket stereotype an organization based on rumors you may have heard 30 years ago. They have no intent or desire to go and capture this creature and put it in a side show. The people you should be concerned about are the charters and private individuals likely to harass the animal.

There are pink dolphins found in Amazon and in Thailand. They are a distinct species and not just albinos of the standard species.
If you think that living in the ocean, where you could easily be the prey, is peaceful you have been seeing too many Disney movies. Now that you have seen it they sure don't have to put it in a show where the rest of us might see it.
