Honestly, you would be better off in Tier 2 Junior A. The CHL has made huge moves in the last few years to cut down fighting in their leagues.

Also, your skating flaws concern me. To be a good defenceman turning and lateral skating are very key. So, a year in Junior A to improve your skating might be key. You have the size and the offensive ability to eventually play the CHL, but you need the skating ability first.

FlamesFan, you need to think before you speak!
For a defenceman in Midget AAA, bam wasn't even in the top 100 goal scorers across the country last year. Most goals scored in midget AAA across the country last year for defenceman was 77, 100th on the list was 52. For points, the most was 216pts, 100th was 137pts.

In his year of midget AAA, Scott Niedermayer scored 131 goals in 57 games. Cam Barker scored 116 in 63 games. Dion Phaneuf scored 300+ points in midget AAA.

Well stopped playing in High School myself but I played defense and I got maybe 8 goals in a season at the most. I was more of a play-maker and I wasn't much of shooter. Also I liked to be a stay a home defense men.

sturdy for you...maximum human beings does not even initiate playing at your age/my age/our age/age 14/despite. It relies upon on what you experience maximum soft with. considering which you're merely studying to skate, I truthfully does not be on protection if I have been you, because of the fact they ought to skate backwards plenty. middle might additionally be a foul selection, because of the fact they are in lots of circumstances the ideal participant on the line, who helps out with the completed play. That leaves wing, which must be quickly and have a depraved shot, or goalie, who has to have the means to head quite promptly and react properly. A draw back of goalie (to boot the completed getting-pucks-shot-at-you component) may be which you ought to purchase extra kit once you're severe approximately it. So i might advise playing a wing on the commencing up. you ought to paintings on stops and starts off, tight turns, and speed/agility. considering which you're that huge it does not sound such as you have gotten plenty complication hitting...merely conserving it legal. maximum necessary shot as a wing is the two a snap shot or wrist shot. Backhands are additionally useful. have relaxing "studying to skate!"
