The Point is Amusement in Company with Oneself and with Others. The Living Body is an Amusement Park Ride of the Mind. Let us not ignore that, so too, the Living Mind is an Amusement Park Ride of the Body.

This is a very open question, because it asks "IF life," and thus makes a conditional statement about Life, which is a very broad topic. Life IS a series of conditional statements of the Mind-Body in various ways expressed by Nature. To understand the Point of your Life and of Life in general, you have to discern the conditional statements (If,then's) that the Mind and Body regularly make to each other.

You wouldn't be here in the first place if not for a reason.
All things exist with a purpose, but not everyone can see that. A drug crazed won't know what's happening around him. A depressed won't feel any logic by sitting on his frustrations. An aimless won't even dare to find ways for his survival.
The point is: most people content in just being pointless in life. They prefer to just brood, and mock, and erase every point they come across with. They cannot even preserve this life as a great gift from above. They simply miss the points of why they are here on earth.

Your life is what you make it be.
Your life is not a question, it is a statement that you are in the process of making. The point it has is the point you want it to have, as long as you make the effort. Your purpose is the one you give yourself, so find something worthy of your lifelong effort. Because no matter what you choose, that's your statement. Even if you choose not to choose, that in itself will be your life statement.
Don't make the same mistake that some make - that working hard for any goal is useless, because when you die the lack-wits and slackers that come after you will make a mess of it all anyway.
The truth is, that merely by having existed you changed the world around you, and it will never be the same as if you had never existed. All that you see around you, civilization itself did not spring into being in a single generation. Our parents built on the efforts of those who came before them, and their parents built on the work of their ancestors. We can accomplish miracles.

If we can reach the stars, it is because we stand on the shoulders of giants.
Be a giant - for your children, and their children, and their children's grandchildren.
Make a difference.
Have a point.

The point is for the generations to come.
If the persons who tamed fire, invented the wheel, advanced medical science and all the other wonderful inventions all thought "Nah, no point, can't be bothered, not today." Where would we be?
Your place in history may have already been made. Something you said or did could have influenced someone and changed the whole course of the worlds future.
Who knows what wonderful things might happen in a million years time and it could all be down to you.

Life does have a point. It is to live, and that is the point.

Life does have a point, how can it not? We should strive to improve ourselves, become more compassionate and understanding, more human. After all, we are not animals, we are people with rational thought. At the end of the day people are what's most important, nothing else carries more value.

You are making the assumption that there is no point. A lot of people feel there is a point in living and stamping their mark on this world, or just living and enjoying the life they have been given.
