I agree with you. I'm guilty of it too, but deep down inside everyone knows what they really want to name their kids.

No it is not. If i was 13 i would be doing everything i could because when your older its too late to have fun like that again so enjoy it as much as you can now. Tell them to relax and just have fun cuz 3 years from now when ppl at your school stop pretending and start having real relationships, you will be an idol to them. If they call you baby then maybe you should make baby your nickname cuz its cool

I answer people's questions on here all the time, but when the time comes for me, I sure as hell won't be asking for anyone's opinion. I don't plan on anyone even knowing what names I have on my list. All the family and friends will find out my child's name after he/she is born.
Oh, by the way - names don't always get shortened.....

Because althought the parent may love the name, society may hold a negative view of it. Names impact a person their entire life, and it's good to get a general idea of the opinions people have of it.

I want to hear other's opinions on the name so I know I'm not going to make a big mistake that'll really effect who my child is and their life. Wouldn't you want to know that you and your partner aren't making a mistake?And what if your looking for some new names that maybe you haven't heard? People pass information on and they even give tips.

hmm yeah you're right even my parents are bugging me to suggest some names for the new baby comming up. man! and i dont know any name thats nice. so i suggest to my parents call him naruto XD well, i guess why everyone worried about babies names because they loved there baby.

People like opinions, but i went with what i wanted to anyway. didnt listen to opinions. i got opinions without even asking for them. lol

because if you name them something thats rude it will affect them for the rest of their life,
at school they will get teased
people will already assume that he is weird if his parents named him something weird.
At job applications or other things will he or she get the job?
no
please think hard about your babies name.
Its going to affect them their whole life
